It's a prism that makes a Hassy too heavy IMO.
Leave that prism off and rest the camera against your chest for shooting, 
YES i will use a strap and a Hasselblad is not a heavy to use camera. Churchunk. 
And you're not twisting it from side to side to get verticals and horizontals.
It's just a little box with a mirror in it, says made in Sweden!
