Better that, than someone winging an answer as to "what they think it is" that might not be correct. I can't ever reading or hearing discussion on this kind of question long before the LUG nor in any posts. Be an interesting answer, as I've experienced great discomfort looking through the camera while shooting "arc welders working." Suffered eye burn, even though I only looked at the scene through the lens/viewfinder of a Leicaflex SL. there wasn't any direct eye contact other than through the viewfinder. Like three days with eyes covered and in darkness! One might say a very stressful three days indeed! :-( Particularly for a one eyed photojournalist. So in the case of the UV through the lens/viewfinder, we unknowingly maybe doing damage without realizing it. Although I doubt it, simply because I'm sure we'd be aware of it long before now. But ? Over to the Ophthalmologists! ted
