In fact Asda (you are correct in the Walmart association) is about to build a new supermarket not more than a mile away from our house, in a most residential area, which will once again suck the shoppers out of the towns. Such is progress? Now if I was to record the building of the new supermarket with my Leica, at least it would stay on topic. If so, then you can look forward to $2 pens but also deserted town centres as the local retailers are slowly killed off by the new behemoth on the outskirts of the town. Visit any small-to-medium sized town in the U.S. South and you will know what I am talking about.
