All the Leica screw mounts are great, the IIIc has the stronger body than earlier ones. If you need flash sync, look at a IIIf. An Elmar 50/3.5 would be the most compact. I've had a Summar 50/2 and it's a good lens though soft at f/2, very sharp by about f/4.5. There's lots of choices, including the new Voigtlander lenses. Here's two good links: http://cameraquest.com/voigtlen.htm http://www.cameraquest.com/ltmlens.htm About the meter, if you liked the Weston, it's still a useful meter for outside. Good luck! Rich
