Subject: [Leica] M5 ER Generic Case Problem
From: Bill Satterfield <cwsat@cyberhighway.net>

I have a M5 ER case and when you snap down the removable top half, the
film advance lever leaves a deep indentation in the shallow lining.
This puts pressure on the film advance lever. My M6 case does not have
this problem. The advance lever on it sits in the recessed section of
the topplate. The 5 does not have a recessed area and the lever sits on
top of the topplate. I feel like this pressure will harm the camera if
the camera is left in the case with the top snapped down for an extended
time. Any experts out there who have an answer or a solution?
