I just returned the third one with a defective rangefinder (won't even come close to focusing at infinity, and even when apparently in focus - images alligned - at closer distances, the lens scale is significantly off from the actual measured distance). Even another brand new one brought up in the store (B&H) by the salespeople proved equally defective - a total of 4 in a row! Perhaps it was just a bad batch (even though the serial numbers varied by as much as 6,000 numbers). Did someone once say Leica had QC problems? Anyone else had a similar experience? BTW, I WAS mostly impressed with the camera. Pretty quiet and the finder is nice and bright. Nice exposure readout. Lightweight. Rewind a little too small. Easy loading. Sam
