What, I have been wondering, does he use the macro for? I have never seen a close-up shot of his published. Is that his portrait lens? <<<<<<<<< Actually I was quite intrigued myself by this line up. The way I see it is, he uses the 35 and 28 to back each other up in case one breaks, they're very similar. Then he has the 60 to back up the zoom - carrying a second zoom would just be too heavy. That way you've got a flexible wide-angle + headshot set up with backups for your most used focal lengths. Ingenious - but I'm just speculating. Looking at his work I would think that he uses a fast 35 most of the time. I should also think that SS - like everyone else - does a lot of stock photography around his assignments, so a macro lens would be handy for that. Rob.
