As there are a Nikon, Canon and Pentax TTL versions (N,C and P.)it would be
awfully frustrating to get this lens and then have them then finally come out
with an L version.

20 BC 6 which really looks like it was designed for a Leica M camera and
especially a black one. They even say so in their brochure. This cost me 40 us
bucks and I got a ten dollar rebate. It's the same size as this flash you are
talking about here but lays flat instead of sticks up. I kind a like that! Looks
much less silly for verticals.
Not ttl but for 30 bucks it's fine for now.
