Subject: RE: RE: RE: [Leica] Anyone using the Leica Handgrip M?

Isn't that a neck strap, not a wrist strap, or can it be converted to a
wrist strap? I personally do not like, and will not use, the thin leather
buckle straps... The straps that scare me, are the ones on most notebook
computer bags...cheap plastic hooks! I intentionally buy bags with METAL
hooks... People spend $5k on a notebook computer (or a Leica for that
matter), and cheap out on the strap.

My strap cost me $1, and as I said, there is NO chance of it coming loose,
or anyone being able to pull the camera from me, without either my wrist,
or the camera coming apart. It is very thin climbing rope (happens to be
black, matches the Leica very nicely), that has reinforcing threads in it
(and it is reflective too ;-). I bought about a foot of it, and it goes
right through the little strap hole, does no damage to the camera at all...

The strap was the original from Leica who came with the Every-Ready Case,
the strap slipped out from the little buckle, and when I notice(heard the
sound) the camera was on the floor, looking to my face and shouting "You
Bastard, I'm on the floor !!". Lucky my M6 hit the floor on the Handgrip
side, so nothing happened to the camera(A little miracle).
