Subject: RE: [Leica] Visit to Wetzlar

Ken,

When I visited many years ago, there wasn't much besides the factory to keep
me in Solms itself. But Wetzlar was a nice town, and I wish I could have
spent some more time there. I came over from Koblenz on a commuter train
that runs along the Lahn, through Limburg to Wetzlar. A short trip up the
valley might be something to try. Note: the commuter train also serves as a
school bus in the mornings and afternoons, so it might be a bit noisy. But
in mid-June, maybe not such a problem. The DB Web site,
http://www.bahn.de/home/index.shtml, has an interactive rail and bus
schedule that is quite good for finding information and even booking seats
on some of the express services.
