First of all, the SF-20 TTL system is for the R8 and M6TTL only, they use
the SCA 3000 system. Your R5 needs to use the SCA 300 system (SCA 351 in
your case). Try and find yourself a Metz 32CT series flash or a newer Metz
32Z2 or 32MZ3.
