I just use a mini tripod resting against my chest, but this sounds like a
cool idea.

I was looking through my 1953 copy of Morgan & Lester's Leica Manual when I
came across the mention of a "neckpod" in Eisenstaedt's chapter: "... a
fine
item: a leather neck strap with a pocket supporting a wooden a wooden stick,

screw threaded to fit the camera's baseplate. The neck strap fits in my
pocket, and the stick is carried in my sock!"
The sock thing not withstanding, this sounds like a great idea. Perhaps
one our Lug-nuts will undertake its manufacture?
