Subject: [Leica] jim licquia's comment about my email
From: Photovilla@aol.com
Date: Fri, 19 May 2000 20:10:30 EDT

My first reaction to this was to simply ignore this post, but in response to
several LUG member emails I have a short reaction to this comment.

1st:
I have a right, as every one does, to offer gear at any price I wish.
If you think it is too high, don't buy it. Don't be "offended?" please...

2nd:
The email I sent was quickly followed up with a correction. The .72 body is
$2595, while the .85 body is $100 more. I mis-read and thus mis-posted this.
I never posted it at the wrong price on the LUG as I caught it earlier. Only
those who got my "pre release" letter were subject to the mistake and
correction. Thus it was not appropriate to post this message to the LUG as my
post which was objected to was not on the LUG.

3rd:
At no time was it $2495 for one from any source. So Mr. Licquia has made the
same mistake I have, just in the other direction.

Lastly, I think most LUGGER's have found that I am always fair to deal with
and honest in my representations. If you have not ever purchased (or sold)
something from/to me- then please refrain from public messages about me. I am
glad to receive private email and prevent the waste of bandwidth and time
that is causes when people post here.

thanks,
Rich

Fellow LUGers,

Did anyone else get this message from Rich Pinto re the LHSA Black Paint M6

TTL? Were you offended by it?

If you have been thinking about and wanting one, go for it and pay only

$2495 from LHSA! This is a limited opportunity and I guarantee you when open

the box you will be absolutely delighted with it.

The challenge was to create a camera that from 5 feet away looked just like

the Black Paint M6 which was the last regular production camera that Leitz

made 25 years ago. It is a brilliant success as has been attested to by a

number of other members.

I would be interested in others impressions of this "Black Beauty".
