>>was out and about last night, shooting at the griffith park
observatory.
arrived just in time for sunset. composing a shot of some folks
composing a
shot of the hollywood sign, i noticed that the two images in the
rangefinder patch do not entirely coincide when i focus at infinity.
they
are close, as the saying goes, but no cigar.<<

It is quite easy to do:
Take the lens off. There will be a wheel on a lever just in front of you
- - sticking out. (When the lens is on the camera, this wheel is pressed
onto the lens' internal focusing ring or whatever it is called - to
coulpe the focusing with the rangefinder mechanism). You can play with
this wheel trying to adjust its position back and forth with a knife or
whatever you can use - it is attached on a screw-type carrier. Use very
small increments and every time check with a lens attached and set at
infinity.
Hope it will help. I am pretty sure this adjustment doesn't affect
anything but the wheel position, so this shouldn't hurt your camera.
