Though I have not seen the book (I just placed an order for one on
amazon.com) Jim's description reminds me of a French TV commercial for
mineral water, probably some 10 years ago, which was essentially a b/w
motion portrait of a family.  It showed different stages of the family
with a baby girl, who soon becomes a toddler, then a school girl, then a
teenager (on a phone, of course)  The characters happened to be nude,
but it impressed me very much by the way the family was portrayed.  The
commercial won some award in Canne advertisement festival.

I guess I should watch out whenever I take a pictures at local beaches:
there are more nude beaches than "textile" around here in Marin. :(
