What shutter speed does your meter say you need for f11? 1/30th lets say. So you use that. Set it at that but use the flash. So if the flash does not go off you still get the perfect picture. But with just the flash you'd be getting pictures a stop underexposed. Then use a winder and as your flash is not fully recyling every shot you got a full range of flash fill ratios! And maybe one with thier eyes open! Mark Rabiner
