[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]Fellow LUGers, Last weekend my wife and I returned from Italy and one of the films chosen for this 9-hr flight was, to the best of my recollection, “An Affair of the Heart.” This dreadful and tedious British flick had two redeeming virtues. One – in an very, very brief street scene, there was clear shot of a sign – Leica Cameras. The other one showed a private detective using what was clearly a screw mount Leica, probably a IIIf or similar. Alas, these were the only bright moments in this boring film. Today’s New York Times carries a fascinating story about the exploits of North Vietnamese combat photographers during that debacle. Some outstanding photography. Unfortunately, there is no mention of the equipment used by these photographers. Maybe some LUGer with lots of spare time on his/her hands can dig into this one. Regards Kurt Ann Arbor
