[Leica] an invitation to be SMUG- a new list for screw mount users

Hello Lug users:

I am in the process of beta testing a new "list" hosted out of my NYC 
showroom on my newly built listserver.

It is the Leica Screw Mount Users group...nicknamed the "SMUG."

Much of the old Leica screw mount "SLUG" has joined this list and graciously 
put my neat little listserver to the test for the past week. 

So far, so good. We are still drafting a charter as we go, but essentially 
this is a group similar to the LUG but for Screw Mount equipment.

The rules are few, but essentially ANY screw mount equipment is fair game for 
topical discussion and all users are encouraged to post respectful dialog 
that leads to enrichment of the screw mount community.

I would like to extend an invitation to those here on the LUG to join the 
group. If you are interested, simply send an email with the word "subscribe" 
in the subject heading to:

smug@listserve.photovillage.com

You can post by sending subsequent messages to the same address. Please read 
the email that the list sends you upon subscription before attempting to post.

Digest mode is available as well by simply adding the word "digest" to the 
subject heading.

This program has been a labor of love over the past four to six months..so I 
must warn potential users that there may be a glitch or two before I get them 
all ironed out. If you prefer the smoother-sailing of a tested product simply 
wait until I announce the beta period as finished.
