I believe he once accepted an honorary degree or award and spoke to the audience with his back turned towards them so that he couldn't be photographed. Also, I recall an anecdote about someone photographing him, at I believe it was ICP in NYC, some young admirer, and he ran after this person screaming and turning red and going totally ballistic. Quite a contrast for someone who has become quite wealthy (family fortune notwithstanding, an apartment on the Rue de Rivoli overlooking the Louvre and the Jardin de Tuileries does not come cheap, kiddies) stealing other peoples visages for publication and depiction of the human condition.
