The "silver 76" battery should just fall out of the CRIS adapter. Mine has
an OD about .3mm larger than the Varta V 76 PX battery inside. Perhaps you
don't have the adapter; just a battery? The CRIS just has a + sign on the
bottom. Or maybe it's corroded in there permanently?
