A couple of days ago I decided to find out what all this digital photography stuff was all about. My local photo outlet store was featuring a "digital day" where all electronic camera equipment would be reduced 15%. There on the shelf was a beautiful Fuji MX1700 camera and right next to it was an equally beautiful Leica Digilux Zoom costing $75 more. I know intellectually that both cameras are identical except for a few cosmetic differences. Still the Leica had that hypnotic red dot. I spent most of my trip home trying to rationalize my decision - and concocting a good justification story for my wife. In my heart of hearts I know that I am an addict.
