How would you folks differentiate the R8, if at all?

How about an ad campaign based on the following slogan:

The Leica R8 - Who Needs A Nikon F5 When You Can Get...Far Less Camera For
Exactly The Same Money?

And that's the problem. I'm not saying the R8 is wonderful, and I'm not say
that it doesn't use The Best glass....But...It isn't autofocus and doesn't
have half the flexibility in terms of features - if one wants them - of the
F5, or F 100 for that matter, and it has far fewer lenses in its stable, for
the same money as an F5...That's a tough sell to any but Leicaholics....If
Leica is going to make it in the Reflex field I would suggest that they need
to rebadge something like the new Minolta 9000 with a Leica lens mount - and
Minolta autofocus lenses available using the same mount.....I'm not saying
that would be a better camera, so don't flame me - I'm just saying that
something like that would be more competitive....
