The winning bidder then placed a bid that upped the ante by a factor of 10, but which MIGHT have been the result of just an extra "5" keystroke at the end of an intended slight increase. Given that knowledgeable experts have pronounced this one of the rarest of all critters, it's possible that the other bidders just didn't know what they were looking at. But I sort of hope the winner didn't just enter a bid without studying it carefully, only to get the surprise of his life when he gets the congratulatory email. The actions and comments of the runner up are interesting too. Note that he had a bid withdrawal at what looks like $4999 claiming a typo, but then came back with a bid of $5500. Curious. Cheers, Kip
