the way, if anyone would like one of those collapsible rubber hoods and its
fragile cap, you can have mine (left over from a Tele-Elmar C)
for...oh...US$5,552.40.

That sounds right.  By then, Leitz had given up on the collapsible rubber
hood and reverted to the vastly preferable 12575.  In fact, replacements
for the collapsible hood and its fragile cap were discontinued by 1990 or
thereabouts.
