Hi, Rich,

Yes I do project and that is one of the reasons that I like Scala and even
the 35 looks great on a lightbox. I haven't had access to a darkroom for
several years and prefer to use transparencies but the frustration in getting
decent prints has me close to going back to TRI-X.
As far as the cost of Ilfochrome, I'm strictly an amateur who makes
enlargements for my own walls or at the request of friends and family,
infrequently enough so that the cost is not onerous.
I live not far from one of the three labs that processes Scala in the US.
They're the ones who gave me back a green type R.
I have spoken to an Agfa rep who confirmed to me that Scala was designed with
digital printing in mind and that Agfa was surprised at the poularity that
the film has attained. They're solution is to sell digital installations to
minilabs, but I can do that in my home which is what my ultimate solution
will be. Unfortunately, I shoot both 35 and MF so the scanner becomes a major
expense.

Regards, Gerry
