And, if you can afford it, go with the 35 Summilux ASPH, which may just be the single best lens in the Leica M line. 35 is a great focal length - just long enough to function as a "normal" lens, and just wide enough to allow you to get in close and still get a reasonable view of the environment surrounding your subject. If you can't spring for the Summilux ASPH, or don't need the extra stop, go for a 35 Summicron. The ASPH is said to be great, but, at the same time, the last version of the non-ASPH Summicron is still a really terrific lens. B. Then YOU can decide which is THE lens and give advice to others after you trade both at very little lost value for the latest and greatest 50 or 35.
