If carrying it on your shoulder it shouldn't be a problem as the movement
will stop the burning effect starting anywhere. More caution is needed when
left stationary, on a shelf, in a car etc, or laid on the ground.
Only fools like I leave it on a tripod with a telephoto lens focused on a
sunset behind the clouds, then walk away for a cuppa... you can guess the
rest.
