Don't give up on that hood. It truly stops all the stray light, it's 
nice and deep and it is transparent in the viewfinder. You won't find 
a nicer hood for a 50mm, except perhaps the 12585, which is the same 
hood in metal.

PS: K64 too grainy? sell the Leica and buy a blad.
