Mark,
One of the criticisms I've heard about Salgado is that he creates something
 'beautiful' out of something that quite horrific. The link that a lot of
people
make between 'beauty' and 'pretty' can be confusing. On one level
Salagado's stuff is beautiful - beautifully printed, shot, composed etc
etc -
yet I think that there is always horror lurking.
