My experience with Ebay is that it ain't over 'til it's over.  I have read some
comments to the effect that as a matter of strategy, best results can usually be
obtained with no reserve and a very low starting bid.  Of course, sometimes you
can get lucky as a bidder in these cases - which is what we all hope for.
