When I switched to Road Runner I was using the cable connection to access AOL. but it was not necessary. You don't need an internet service provide to access the net, at least through Time Warner I didn't. I was paying AOL $22/mo plus the phone company an additional $25 per month for a private line. That's $47. When I installed Road Runner I dropped AOL and the separate telephone line and pay them $36/mo for cable connection. My net savings is $12/month. I suggest that you contact your new service and confirm that you don't need concentric anymore. Good luck.....it's great and congratulations.
