Sorry for incorrectly claiming that the Nikon f had TTL before the Leicaflex,
but I stick to my opinion on the Contax 645. I did not compare it to Mamiya and 
Pentax 645, because these use a relatively slow AF motor in the body which 
drives the lens with some kind of screwdriver. Contax 645 has the AF motor in 
the lens, like the current Nikon AF-S and Canon USM lenses. Despite the heavier 
lenses, Contax' AF speed seems to be only little behind the current 35mm Canons 
and Nikons. Kyocera's designers were either exceptionally competent in copying 
or Kyocera's lawyers were competent to negotiate moderate license fees with 
Canon or Nikon.
