Hi Gang,

Believe what Irwin says. Photokina is an unforgeable
experience, unlike anything else in the world. It
will be held September 20 through 25 in Cologne,
Germany.

In addition to Photokina, there is a Camera Swap on
Sunday that has more Leica equipment than you have
ever seen in your life. There will be Leica stuff
there that you didn't even know existed.

Tom Abrahamson has the name of a good inexpensive yet
very nice and very conveniently located hotel.

Now is the time to start looking for inexpensive air
fares. Be sure to check airlines like Lufthansa, LTU,
and Icelandic. If you want to use your frequent flyer
miles is usually take 50,000 to go to Europe.

And, it that wasn't enough, the US dollar is at a very
favorable exchange rate to the DM. That makes travel
to Germany by Americans a real bargain.

Here is the English language web site for Photokina:

Europe in September is not only beautiful, there are
no crowds.

You really want to give this serious consideration.

Regards,

Bill
