Just for kicks, I was in Bad Kreuznach, Wetzlar, and Braunschweig (not in
that order) on the same day on a driving trip in Germany. None of those
places really looked like they were hot tourist spots. I wanted to go to
Wetzlar, but there was probably not much to see there anymore. And that
Renault was going very fast.

I think I am not alone in my wants so I will simply look to Konica for a
modern M body, or maybe Fuji who may soon own Leica. You will only have to
look as far as that to find the success you seek. If Leica does get bought
that means the only German-owned company left is Rollei, whom as you know
recently went private again!
