Peter.....you are correct, in my opinion.  However, this doesn't mean that
they should replace the existing M6.  There is and will continue to be a
demand for a manual system. Leica cannot continue to operate an unprofitable
public company.  They are backed in the corner and to continue R&D they must
progress and a marriage with a profitable photographic company is a sure
thing in my opinion.

I would certainly purchase one as you have described because of the lenses.
After all it is the picture that we are after isn't it?
