I bought my first Leica, a IIIF, with a similar lens, the 35 f2.5 Nikkor.
You are right, it makes a very convenient package.  It's even smaller than
Cosina's looks.  That lens is not a bad performer, although I suspect not up
to Leica's glass.  I still use it on my M4.
