Bob, I had to be the one to inform you, but "Leitz" ceased to have an involvement in Leica cameras a decade back. It's now "Leica GMBH". In any event, Leitz killed the Visoflex in '84 due to the perceived inroads it made in their then-shaky R sales. As another poster succinctly noted, a Leica rangefinder camera with a Viso becomes an SLR but there is no bloody way short of massive surgery to improve an R camera into an SLR. >> Please pardon the unfortunate Leitz error . . . but beyond that, just count me in the "Horses for courses" camp. While I am relatively new to Leica M photography I've come to really appreciate the rangefinder camera. But no matter how much I like it I don't see a day when it will completely replace my SLRs. They both have their place. By the same token, I don't feel compelled to even ATTEMPT to replace my SLRs with a Visoflex. I'm sorry I'm just not ready to jump that far into the rangefinder camp. I ask your forgiveness on this character weakness as well. Bob
