Hi Tom,

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RETURN THE M6 -- You do not want to do ANYTHING  that
might possibly discourage this behavior in your wife.  As Doug said, keep
the M6 for a few months and use it for a while.  You may find that you like
the M6 for family, people and available light and the R cameras for the
rest.  Many carry and M with a 35 or 50 along with their reflex outfit.
