Yesterday the US National Park Service announced that due to low snowfall
the Tioga Road through Yosemite National Park would open today at noon
(PST) and would remain open until the next major storm (none forecast for
the next week).

Here's a rare opportunity to see what a winter full moon at Tuolumne
Meadows is like without backpacking in on XC skis or snowshoes.  Be
prepared for arctic conditions.
