In response to some comments about incident metering in landscape
photography, I would say that the consistency of light from the sun is
generally pretty good as far as you can see so most of the time in
incident reading made in similar conditions of shade or open sky in the
locale of the photographer will be completely consistent with the light at
your subject mountain or field.
