I know the large ground aspheric element has caused a production bottleneck. I picked up a M 90/2.8 Elmarit absolutely new with U.S. cards very cheap at a swap meet. But don't use it hoping I can unload it and get the 90/2 Apo. I use Kodachrome 25 religiously and due to its contrast its particularly vulnerable to vignetting. A couple shots on the Elmarit show its very sharp across the field at full aperture and very uniform in field illumination. Its a much sharper lens at full aperture than the tele -Elmar 90/2.8 of which I tested two examples next to it. I was wondering does anyone who already has the M Summicron 90/2 Apo also use KM 25?.... and what can they tell me about vignetting at full aperture or performance relative to the M Elmarit 90/2.8?
