I'll second the Kip Babington recommendation for the Quantum Calculite
meter.
Mine has worked well for decades.
But even though it's pretty rugged, used meters can be a problem: Contacts
corrode; Recalibration can be expensive.
 
A new calculite XP can be had for about $130...
