I just received a memo from my Rep. at Leica who says that the R8 motor drive 
will be available in December...

The "kit" (with Nicads and charger) runs $799. If I am reading the memo 
correctly you must use a Nicad pack (not AA batteries) as someone reported 
earlier. 

I will try and confirm this with my rep.

Still...it may be here at last!
