I also use Pentax because you can get some very nice lenses for very affordable prices. My employer buys my "pro" gear, which is Nikon where 35mm is concerned. If I was starting fresh buying my own gear for pro use I would probably buy used Leica SLR- the Pentax bodies that I like to use are getting old and hard to maintain. I don't consider Pentaxes pro cameras. But I don't mind winning the odd award or doing a book with them. I don't consider IIIf's pro cameras.
