Which proverb reminds me of an article by Lewis Carroll, ("Alice
in Wonderland"),  in which he pointed out that a clock that is one minute 
late each day tells the correct time only once in X days,   (you can tell 
I had a formal training in mathematics), whereas a clock that has 
stopped completely tells the correct time twice a day.
