I'm looking at my watch because I have to be somewhere _else_ in 15 minutes and I'm hoping I can get a shot of (insert name of fameous politician) before I have to flee to the next gig. I'm awash in a sea of Nikons (not a Canon to be seen actually) F4's and N90s' ... I've got an M6 around my neck w/ a 35mm lens and an Olympus Stylus in my pocket in case things get crazy. Loaded up with HP5, i'm set to f22 at 125 second hyperfocald to about 10 feet -- so basically EVERYTHING is in focus and I'm feeling good, figuring i can get off about six shots before he gets to the door. Well, (insert name of fameous politician) is late and I have to move. "Dang!" I mutter, turn and head into the building, walk towards the rear exit and as I'm about 10 feet from the back door, a limo screeches up outside and out jumps some aid with a walkie talkie and (insert name of fameous politician) "Yikes!" I think and jam a flash on top of the Leica. I greet (insert name of fameous politician) and he says "if you want my picture why don't you jump in the elevator with me, i'm going up one floor and i'm running behind." So I jump in the elevator, snap seven shots. He shakes my hand says "looks like you scooped 'em all" and ducks out the elevator door. I'm feeling real real smug with myself, whistling a happy tune, walking to the next assignment when I look down at the camera and see that the shutter speed is still set to 125/sec. DANG!
