My 50 M Summicron goes maybe 1/8 stop "bigger" than f2 and the same distance
"smaller" than f16.
Going smaller than f16 doesn't cause any blade movement so I assume the
movement is just play in the aperature adjustment mechanism.

Dear friends,
I bought a Summicron R50/f2 secondhand some months back.... I notice the
aperture ring can go about half stop even bigger than the maximium aperture
of f2.. the salesguy said this is characteristic of all Leica lenses.. Is
this true ? Or was I cheated...?
