Gosh. Jerry, if you are going to have only a few Leica lenses, then you
have to be surgical about which ones to buy. I rarely go wider than 50mm,
so my present rig (1.4/35 non-ASPH Summilux, 1.4/50, 2/50 DR, 2.8/90
Elmarit, 2/90 non-ASPH/APO Summicron, 3.4/135 APO-Telyt, 4/200, 4.8/280,
and 5/400 Telyts, with M6 and M3DS bodies) suits my purposes well. (I also
have a 4.5/21 Zeiss Biogon in M mount and a slew of Carl Zeiss Jena and
Russian lenses in LTM which I can convert to M easily enough.)

For your purposes, I'd probably buy used and avoid the high entry fees of
new gear. There are a LOT of fine used lenses out there. And I'd suggest
a 90mm over a 135 for portrait work, too.
