I seem to remember reading somewhere that the Dual Range Summicron and M6's
are incompatible. I'm willing to face flame and damnation to find out if any
of you have experience with this combo.

Jim,

The DR and M6 are fine, but on at least some there is a problem in trying
to remove or mount the lens. You have to set the lens to infinity before
removing it from the camera. One thing not yet mentioned is that for some
it was popular for NOT having the focus lug on the barrel. I for one like
my focus lug, and use it to estimate distance and focus while NOT looking
at the camera, and whilst watching the scene. I cannot do that with the DR,
so to each lens its purpose. Before I'm flamed [this is the umpteenth testy
time I've lived through on the LUG] the focus lug would not work on the DR
because of the "throw" of the focus barrel, being so much greater than the
other Rangefinder lenses. As I said; each lens to its purpose.

Cheers
