I've actually heard this debated at a NYC camera show near Sherry Krauter's
table.

All I can say is there were plenty of old black screwmount bodies that came
w/ nickel or chrome lenses. So I'd say a  black body & chrome lens would
have a vintage aesthetic.
Bu t the chrome lenses do seem to weigh more than black lenses. I think its
brass construction vs aluminum alloy.
